Smolny Cathedral is one of the most sophisticated symbols of St. Petersburg, and this website reveals its history step by step. The site contains rare facts, archival materials, forgotten plots and vivid images that reveal the cathedral's journey from Rastrelli's conception to its role in the cultural life of St. Petersburg. The people of that era and the events that left their mark on the blue and white walls come to life here. The project was created for those who want to see Smolny differently: not only as an architectural symbol, but as a living chronicle of epochs, ideas and people.

The ensemble with a rich history — originally the Imperial College House, and later the Suvorov College — today breathes the energy of youth and ambition. High ceilings, wide corridors and classic facades create a special, inspiring atmosphere for academic studios.
